It has often been said that there is opportunity in any economy. If you still have a few dollars in your pocket, there has been no better time to buy snow sport equipment, especially hard goods like snowboards and skis.

Typically, the manufacturers front this equipment to the ski/snowboard shops and hope to get paid by the end of the season. The last thing they want is to get this equipment back. As you can imagine this has been a poor season for sales, despite a decent winter on the slopes. As a rule, sales start during President’s Week and go on through the end of the season. Located about a mile from Lakeside this is more than just a shopping area.  In addition to such name brand stores as Patagoina, Quicksilver and Solomon, you’ll find clothing, sporting goods, art, jewelry, and novelty gift stores.   Eateries include everything from snacks, coffee, or candy to fast food and great lunch and dinner restaurants.  The center is also home to an 8-plex movie theater.  There is ice skating in the winter time and miniature golf the remainder of the year.  The Heavenly Village is where you’ll find the Heavenly Gondola that will whisk you to the top of Heavenly Mountain to ski in the winter time or hike in the summer time.  Throughout the year the Village is host to various events such as wine walks, car shows and a farmer’s market.
